Strobe lights were really prosperous before the advent of LED lights

Dancing floors are another place these strobe lights are used. The flashing lights with high intensity make the already glittering dancing floors more colorful. They use lights of different colors for the purpose. This craze began in the early sixties and is still being popular. To obtain the different colors from the white xenon light filters of different colors are used. Party floors bars and wedding receptions are also using these to enhance the decorative effects. In short they could be used in any event where glittery is the order of the day.

After the advent of powerful LED lights the use of strobe light is getting phased out. Most police and other services such as ambulances and fire fighting vehicles have already turned to LED lights and the era of the strobe is fading away. LED lights are comparatively cheaper in the long run as they last around five to ten times the life span of a strobe and are versatile in use. Also they are more resistant to elements. Performance wise both are similar. With all the advantages of the LED lights the good old strobe light that replaced the turning light is now sent out of the market by the ever improving LED. Its longer life and the economy of use are the main reasons for the preference it got.
